The Lower Saxony/Bremen Renewable Energy Association (LEE) represents the interests of 6,000 wind energy plants, 1,600 biogas plants and 140,000 solar plants through its member associations. These supply 55.5% of gross electricity consumption and 16.5% of primary energy consumption in Lower Saxony. The aim of the association is to ensure a 100% energy supply from renewables in Lower Saxony by 2050 at the latest.
