Online workshop of the ERDF joint project TurbuMetric on 30.04.2021

As part of the EFRE joint project TurbuMetric, the current research results will be presented and discussed with interested parties in an online workshop on April 30, 2021.

What is TurbuMetric?

The interdisciplinary innovation network "TurbuMetric - Optical 3D measurement techniques for the detection of dynamic fluid-structure interactions in turbulent wind environments" is funded by the European Regional Development Fund ERDF (http://turbumetric.de/). The aim of this research project is the simultaneous geometric detection of turbulent wind flows (fluid behavior) and the simultaneously occurring deformations of wind turbine rotor blades. Extensive experiments in the wind tunnel will provide new insights into the behavior of the rotor blades under load.

The event will take place on the following date:

Friday, 30.04.2021

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

via Zoom (registration required)

Agenda:

  • 09:00 Welcome by Thomas Luhmann and Gerd Gülker (responsible project managers), presentation and objectives of the innovation network.
  • 09:20 Design and use of a model wind turbine (presentation in English, University of Oldenburg)
  • 09:55 Wind turbines and turbulence - aerodynamic effects at the rotor blade (University of Oldenburg)
  • 10:30 Coffee break
  • 10:40 Dynamic optical 3D measurement technology (Jade University of Applied Sciences)
  • 11:15 Open dialog
