On the move - paths to a climate-neutral future on 28.06.2021

On Monday, June 28, at 7 p.m., the Innovative Hochschule Jade Oldenburg, the Schlaue Haus and the City of Oldenburg, with the support of OLEC e.V., will host an interactive virtual discussion event entitled "On the Move - Paths to a Climate-Neutral Future."

It was recently decided: Oldenburg should be climate neutral by 2035! What do we have to do as a society, science, economy and city to achieve this goal for Oldenburg and what challenges do we have to face?

In the third round of Oldenburg's successful online discussion event "On the Move", you will get to know some of the actors behind this resolution:

  • Peter Zenner (Head of Climate Protection, City of Oldenburg)
  • Prof. Ulrich Scheele (University of Oldenburg)
  • Leonie Mazalla (activist at Fridays for Future and the Oldenburg Climate Neutral 2030 Alliance)

You will learn how this came about and how it will now proceed. Do you have questions about the topic? Or ideas? We look forward to your participation and a lively discussion in which you will have the opportunity to ask questions directly. Anyone and everyone can participate, simply and directly, and make a small contribution to achieving our goals.

Big ideas deserve a chance, too. We will learn and discuss how well this can work in a contribution by Monika Noormann (NettCon Energy GmbH).

The event will be implemented online. Interested parties can still register until Sunday, June 27, 2021 via the registration form for this free event here: ihjo.de/auf_achse/

All interested parties are invited to participate online, join the discussion and ask questions. No special software is required. After registration, the further steps for participation will be explained.

There will be plenty of time for exchange this time as well; the diverse and engaging discussions in particular have distinguished the last events in the series and made them a real success. So far, participants have been able to exchange ideas and receive interesting impulses on the topics of sustainable mobility and hydrogen. Further events on exciting future topics are planned.

The event is a cooperation between the project Innovative Hochschule Jade Oldenburg (IHJO), the Smart House Oldenburg and the City of Oldenburg with the support of OLEC e.V. as part of the project Digital Learning Labs - Civic Data Lab, which is funded by the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR).
